Studying the bible is a key way to grow spiritually, and there are some fantastic free resources to help you. You may prefer software that you can download to your PC or Mac, which has the advantage of improved search speed. Or you may want to use web based resources that can easily be accessed from any computer (i.e. no installation is required).
Free Christian Bible study software
eSword
This is a fantastic (PC based) piece of bible study software. It includes various bible translations (e.g. ESV), dictionaries, commentaries and languages.
logos bible software
A very powerful bible study package that offers a free basic version on you pc, mac, mobile device or online.
Eloquent
This is a Mac equivalent of eSword. Unfortunately it is not as flexible as the PC version, but may still be worth a look.
Online bible study tools
Blue Letter Bible
A very powerful online bible with Hebrew and Greek translations and a superb Lexicon feature
Bible Gateway
This is an online bible that is very easy to use. It does not have loads of features though (e.g. commentaries and dictionaries).

A fantastic collection of bible focused study guides for both the non Christian and the pastor
